During  my college days I was fascinated with pen pals. I remembered a friend ask a picture of mine to be posted in a certain correspondence friendship. I find it very surprising. Imagine I will received almost two- three letters  coming from different countries. It was indeed an exciting experience. I can recall two bachelors coming from Papua New Guinea and Australia. They have the welcome which expresses the idea of the service they render. Aside from that they have features also like the new users for  first timers to join. You will also be guided to whom you wanted to be most attached by looking at their most friendly users. Photos are also rated. You also see the number of active users both men and women. Some will be sending greetings to you because they have  the birthday corner. They have it all in just one click. Single ladies and men check this site it you might find your only one.

Social Clerks is a new social networking rolled in different uses. I find the logo so catchy with blue and yellow. As I browse and open some inputs regarding the website. I find it so jammed with lots of info’s. For first timer like me I need to explore what’s in store for me. I found out that as you sign in you have already two credits. You can accumulate more by following some sites as well making referrals to your friends. The more credits you gain you can eventually can post some business and some followers to follow you.

The site is open for all network and businesses. Not only for big but they cater also for small businesses. You can search for your favorite  and new updates on youtube. Actually can have much more activity in just one click online. What in store also is as you continue to click like on any item posted their gave you a certain points. In return you can also have the chance to post also and increase the number of traffic visiting you site as well as your blog. It would mean gaining more fans gaining more point and gaining friends as well.

Right now I am trying to explore what social clerks can offer to a mother like me. I ask some younger friends to join me in exploring  this social clerks. Others will say something new to use more traffic, more you tube to views and other will say more twitter follow exchange to check in just a click. I may not be as tekkie as the younger generation. A TOUCH OF ART

I remembered so well the first time it touches my finger. I was eighteen years old. I couldn’t hide my feelings of being a lady that time with all the paints on it. I really felt good. I was influenced by my father. He always have his nails cleaned especially for special occasion. You can see also in his eyes the glow and how it brings happiness.

Until today, things have changed from the colors and the prints on it. It used to be just a single or double coat. They have changed the designs also they have stickers and precious stones to used .They really invented everything to make our fingernails in a glow.

Just this week I bumped into a brand which I know everybody familiar with. I may be the last to know it . I tell you I am so excited and fascinated how it changed the look of my fingernails. At first it so scary, my niece who always cleaned  it felt the same. It was her first time also to use this kind of nail polish.

We tried it .So it was indeed another adventure for my finger nails. I really find it  unique and a touch of art. I am challenged to explore the other side of nail art.

From Badjao to Goodjao

The Badjao people are one of the ethnic groups who migrated to key cities in the Philippines. They always have the sea as source of their income. How? By begging or asking you to throw money in the water for them to dive on. But most often they really are begging. I experienced being spit on by some of them.  I do not like to give. They have this style of begging when you give one of their companions they will go rushing to you and ask for more. I really find them annoying sometimes.

  Years have passed but they become productive now. I saw some groups of children being educated in some barangays. They were also train to make some burloloys and other ornaments.

      One day I enjoy my usual walking and buying at the market. I was looking for some used clothes stalls a.k.a  "ukay-ukay".  If and when I needed some costumes for a certain school related activities I choose used clothes. It is cheap and durable. As I continue to look and search in the mountain full of used clothes. I was also elbow to elbow with some Badjao. I was looking at them they were really busy choosing also some clothes. See how used clothes help people to wrap their body. I left as I found what I am looking for. As I walked a group of Badjao also are busy putting all those used clothes in a hanger. Where are they going to put it? They have big cabinets in the market. Now I know they are selling it. They become a walking ukay ukay stalls selected items. They become productive. I remember after that I bought a short for my daughter. She liked it very much and she said "how young she becomes a business woman...” referring to young girl carrying all the used clothes in a bunch of hangers. They become GOODJAO.

            Since the evolution of fast food people tend to eat in an instant. They wanted immediate satisfaction . But as they continue to grow and expand. They continue also to be very expensive.

So I tried exploring not so popular fast food so that I can compare them with quality of food  and the prize. As I passed by  City hall drive I discovered a very new fast food. It was indeed new. They just opened last June 2011. I do not know the date to be exact. They gave some coupons like some promotions materials. At first I couldn’t believe it. Imagine two spaghetti in a prize of one. Tell you it is really yummy. Shanghai meal with only five sticks of it was really delicious. Almost all  delicious combo are in buy one take one menus. No wonder lots of students, professionals and moms like me bring our kids for a fast, cheap yet delicious meal. Try for yourself they are located at San Pedro drive, Davao City.

Manong with Gadgets

      One Saturday morning, I went to the market. I need to walk through a sky walk. I noticed a man with plenty of plastic packs around his body. I gaze to this strange looking man ahead of me. I was curious why he has all the plastics in his arms. I continue to follow him and to my amazement.

              A walking handyman store.  He is selling. He seems to be jolly talking and walking. He continues to chant some words to convince the possible costumer. He will try to stop by every group of people and small stores along the road.  He has a decent and fascinating job. He is a walking handy man. He sells from moth balls, tooth brush, hangers, clips, thread and needles and different sizes of cleaning materials in the house. This kind of business is profit oriented. His goods are none perishable. It can last forever.  It doesn’t need any space to rent on. He can move from one place to another.

              I continue to observe him and this are the things I noticed.

   He sits in a small sitting area.   He has big smile. He always have welcoming note to elude buyers. He has a bubbling personality. Right there and then he e sold already some moth balls and some cleaning materials just in one area.  As he continues to walk and walk until the sun sets off. And wakes up in the morning with assurance someone will buy for their needs today.

             I just love to see people making money with their own ways. They continue to face the hardship in the positive way. They love what they are doing rather than being a parasite. They face every day with grin in their face. You will never know they will be of help to you too.

Paying Bills

       I have been waiting for almost two hours just to be entertained . I couldn't believed it. But i waited since I don't have any appointment . While waiting my eyes was roaming around the place. The place seems so clean and presentable. Its fully airconditioned. It seems to have a system but they lack manpower. Can you imagine two clerks entertaining almost thirty customers waiting to be answered and problems to be solved. Then an elder woman was seated next to me. She open a conversation about paying bills. That she came from paying light bills and cable as well. She came here to complain about her gadget which she purchase from this office. So as we continue to talk .  She noticed that  customer service booth have only two to entertained. She said  in the other billing office they are different and really efficient . They have plenty of clerks and cashier to entertained us. It will only takes  five minutes. Then off you go to the next office. This billing office is far beyond compare to the other one. "she complained. So she went out and left. I couldn't imagine waiting for the next thirty minutes. When I was entertained about my inquiry I was shocked to hear her reply "No, Yes this is what you are suppose to pay".That's it. a Big Bang. Waiting for almost three hours. How cruel are you to waste my three hours? Hope our billing system will be more efficient.
